Miriam Brice is of counsel in the areas of European Law, Competition and Regulatory Law (including Telecommunications and Information Technology Law, Insurance Law, Health and Pharmaceutical Law), Commercial and Corporate Law, and Contracts and International Investments.
Miriam is currently the General Director of the “International Department of Special Actions” of International Human Right’s Observatory and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Associação Careca Power”, one relevant non-profit association in the oncological sector in Portugal.
Miriam has developed her activity as a lawyer and of counsel always on an interdisciplinary basis, assisting both multinational groups and individual investors in cases of high technical complexity, creating and developing projects tailored to the interests and needs of Clients. Miriam has extensive experience in competition law (merger control and anticompetitive practices) and in corporate law, particularly in the areas of implementation of businesses and structures, mergers, spin-offs, winding ups, assignments and corporate restructuring, Due Diligence processes, negotiations and drafting of complex contracts, as well as assisting Clients on a daily basis. Miriam also has extensive experience in competition and EU law, Regulatory law. Miriam has extensive experience in negotiating and implementing cross-border transactions, contracts, partnerships, and international operations.
Miriam is also Trainer and responsible for academic modules in some of her main practice areas, namely Competition and European Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Directors' Liability, Partnerships, International Contracts, Commercial Distribution Contracts, FIDIC Contracts, Competition and EU Law, Due Diligence, Documentary Credits, Financing Contracts, Contractual Guarantees, Contract Negotiation, Compliance and Corporate Governance.
