Manuel works extensively in commercial and corporate law, private equity and venture capital, with special emphasis on corporate and commercial operations involving the reorganization and restructuring of groups of companies and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Manuel has strong skills in the preparation, analysis, review and negotiation of contracts and legal documents in general, with a focus on commercial and financial agreements.
He advises his clients on several matters related with digital law and consumer law.
He has relevant experience in matters of personal data protection.
He has worked on a variety of intellectual property matters (including patents, trademarks, designs and models, software and copyright and related rights).
Manuel also advises clients on matters of financial law, including regulatory matters, namely with the Bank of Portugal and the Securities Market Commission.
He has been accumulating knowledge and experience with regard to Fintech, having advised on issues related to payment services and electronic money and implementation of the PSD2 Directive.
He also provides legal advice in insurance matters.
